47in27 invites you to explore Japan through a thoughtfully curated series of seasonal culinary experiences, with Kampachi leading the campaign, alongside IPPUDO, MAiSEN, SKY51, Sabayon, EQ, and Equatorial. Inspired by Japan’s 47 prefectures, each chapter unfolds gradually over 27 months, revealing regional flavours, cultural traditions, and stories shaped by nature, time, and craftsmanship.

Navigate the landscape of taste as a Boijā, a voyager gathering experiences and uncovering regional treasures. Along this 27-month exploration, eight exclusive Boijā Milestone Plushies serve as companions, each designed to commemorate a unique chapter of your journey. This exciting adventure unfolds across Kampachi EQ, Kampachi Pavilion KL, and Kampachi Plaza33, alongside Sabayon, Étoile, IPPUDO | MAiSEN Bangsar Shopping Centre & The Gardens Mall.

Embark on a culinary journey through Southern Japan’s Kyushu and Okinawa, featuring dishes such as Saga Beef Saikoro Steak, Kumamoto Karashi Renkon, Nagasaki Castella, Kagoshima Kibinago Sashimi, Fukuoka Mizutaki, Oita Kabosu Tonic Cocktail, Okinawa Goya Champuru, and Miyazaki Mehikari Karaage, and many more, presented in Malaysia for the very first time.

How to Collect & Redeem:

  • Spend a minimum of RM100 on participating prefecture menu items and receive a complimentary Prefecture Card along with an exclusive prefecture pin.
  • The Ultimate Voyager: The top collector who acquires all eight seasonal plushies and the highest number of pins will be rewarded an airline ticket, exclusive room and dining experiences, along with more specially curated rewards to be unveiled throughout the journey.
  • The Boijā Milestone Plushie Collector: Guests who collect the full collection of eight seasonal plushies through purchase will receive a RM200 dining voucher valid across participating outlets.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Pins are issued on a per-transaction basis for same-day visits and cannot be earned through the accumulation of multiple dining sessions.
  • Pins will not be available for sale during and after the particular season. Pins can only be redeemed via dine-in.
  • Each pin is exclusive to its respective regional window. All prefecture menus within a region will be available for a three-month period before transitioning to the next region.
  • For spending below RM100, guests may top up with additional items from the same prefecture menu. Regular menu items are not eligible.
  • For dishes featuring multiple prefectures, a minimum spend of RM100 per featured prefecture applies, with one Prefecture Pin per guest per visit.
  • To redeem a plushie, guests must present their Prefecture Card with four completed stamps and redemption can be made at any participating outlet within the particular season.
  • The Seasonal Milestone Plushie is a coveted collectible available for direct purchase at any participating outlet for RM68 after the season, subject to remaining stock following the redemption process.
  • All collectibles and redemptions are available while stocks last.

Kyushu and Okinawa mark the beginning of the 47in27 journey, unveiling a southern side of Japan shaped by volcanic landscapes, coastal abundance, island traditions and deeply rooted culinary heritage.

Across Kyushu’s seven prefectures, every destination reveals its own distinct identity through flavour and culture. From Fukuoka, the birthplace of rich Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen, to Saga and Kumamoto, celebrated for their prized wagyu and bold, full-bodied flavours, the region presents a remarkable diversity shaped by both land and tradition.

In Nagasaki, a historic port city long connected to the world through international trade, foreign influences have given rise to a uniquely layered food culture. Oita is known for its comforting regional dishes and famed hot spring towns including Beppu and Yufuin, while Miyazaki offers vibrant produce and charcoal-grilled specialties deeply connected to its agricultural heritage. Further south, Kagoshima is recognised for its deep umami-rich cuisine shaped by fertile volcanic terrain and generations of craftsmanship.

Extending beyond Kyushu lies Okinawa, Japan’s subtropical island paradise where a distinct Ryukyu heritage continues to shape everyday life. Surrounded by turquoise waters and a slower rhythm of living, Okinawa is celebrated for comforting Okinawan soba, rafute braised pork belly and vibrant tropical fruits including pineapple, mango and papaya. The region is also home to treasured cultural landmarks such as Shurijo Castle, the iconic Churaumi Aquarium and the lively streets of Kokusai Street in Naha.

Beyond its cuisine, Okinawa is renowned for traditional Ryukyu textiles, handcrafted Shisa guardians and a culture deeply rooted in longevity and wellness. Known as the birthplace of karate and home to one of the world’s highest centenarian populations, Okinawa reflects a way of life shaped by balance, community and heritage.

From the dramatic landscapes of Mount Aso to the island warmth of Okinawa, this opening chapter invites guests to discover Japan through regions that are rich in flavour, craftsmanship and cultural identity.

Hokkaido Region
